Dr Ranj Singh

The This Morning doctor has been confirmed as the seventh contestant for Strictly and we are SO excited.

While cheeky host Ruth Langsford might have hinted her hubby and co-star Eamonn Holmes was joining the line-up, the announcement was made on ITV earlier today.

Will Dr Ranj be as successful as previous This Morning stars such as Alison Hammond and even Ruth herself? We hope so…

Graeme Swann

England cricketer Graeme was revealed to be the sixth celebrity contestant in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing line-up last night.

The 39-year-old’s exciting new career move was unveiled on BBC Radio 2 by presenters Angela Scanlon and OJ Borg.

During the interview, the dad-of-three confessed he was most worried about waxing his chest in the run-up to the show… LOL!

Vick Hope

There’s been mutterings for weeks that Capital FM Breakfast host Vic would be joining the show, and she finally announced the good news live on air on Wednesday morning.

Joined by co-hosts Roman Kemp and Sonny Jay, Vick confirmed: ‘Every Saturday night I’ll be within touching distance of Faye from Steps… I’m doing Strictly!’

The 28-year-old – originally from Newcastle – joined Capital back in April 2017, and also hosts Sky One’s Carnage with Freddie Flintoff and Lethal Bizzle.

Joe Sugg

The 26-year-old – who’s the brother of famous vlogger Zoella – announced he was taking part on Tuesday’s BBC Radio 1 Breakfast show.

He became a HUGE online success thanks to his YouTube channel where he shares a load of videos of himself performing pranks and challenges.

But will he be able to win over the British public with his dancing skills?

Faye Tozer

YES! Our Steps lady has finally confirmed she’ll be throwing on her dancing shows next month in an appearance on The One Show on Monday.

The 42-year-old joined Steps in 1997, and went on to have two number one singles and two number one albums, as well as 14 consecutive top 5 singles. So, it’s safe to say she’s got the performing thing down to a T.

‘I have lied to so many people,’ she admitted to presenters Matt Baker and Alex Jones.

The singer then revealed she’s most looking forward to getting dressed up, adding: ‘I am all about the costumes. It’s the crystals, the huge hair, the themed nights…’

Danny John-Jules

Appearing on The One Show alongside fellow contestant Faye, actor Danny confirmed he would ALSO be taking part in the competition.

He’s best known for his role as the Cat in the sitcom Red Dwarf, as well as playing policeman Dwayne Myers in the crime drama Death in Paradise.

The 57-year-old has also had a bit of experience in dancing as he used to perform on the WestEnd and you might even recognise him from The Real Full Monty charity strip tease earlier this year… Ooo la la.

Katie Piper

The TV presenter and ex-model will be waltzing on to the dance floor when the show hits our telly screens in Autumn, and it looks like we’re not the only ones who are just itching for the show to begin.

Announcing the exciting news on BBC Breakfast on Monday, 34-year-old Katie said: ‘I’ve known for a while and it’s been really hard to keep it a secret.’

‘I feel so privileged and excited to be part of my favourite show on TV. I already know how much of an amazing experience it will be for me and I can’t wait to show my girls some of my new dance moves.’

Although the mum-of-two is feeling a little bit apprehensive about her huge new gig, as Katie added: ‘It took a while to say yes because it’s something way out of my comfort zone.

‘The only person I told was my husband and he thought I was joking. I’m worried I’ll be the first to go home! The fear I have is I don’t have the natural rhythm. But I like a challenge, anything I can’t do it inspires me to learn it.’

This comes after fans of the BBC series were left totally baffled when hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman released a video containing a load of cheese-based clues about who could be joining the star-studded line up. Hmm…

Strictly is thought to start filming this month, with the rest of the big names to be announced in the coming two weeks ahead of the series’ showbiz red carpet launch at the end of August.

Other celebs rumoured to be reaching for their sparkly leggings for a chance to impress Craig Revel-Horwood, Bruno Tonioli, Shirley Ballas and Darcey Bussell include Coleen Rooney, Lee Ryan and even Scarlett Moffatt.

We can’t WAIT for the series to start in September.
