Zendaya is an American actress, singer and model. She made her mark in the sitcom “Shake It Up”. She was born on September 1, 1996 in Oakland, California, and was originally named Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman. Her father Kazembe is black and her mother Claire is white. She has five siblings, Julien, Austin, AnnaBella, Katianna and Kaylee.
Zendaya studied at the Auckland College of Art. She has also studied at the California Shakespeare Theater, the American Conservatory of Music Theater and the California Shakespeare Institute of Music projects. Her early works include “Once on This Island”, “Caroline or Change”, “Richard III” and “Twelfth Night”. Zendaya studied hula dancing at the Hawaii Art Institute. She is a member of the dance company Future Shock Oakland.
