Yo Gotti is an American rapper and CEO of CMG. He is known for songs like “Down in the DM” and “Rake It Up” by Mike WiLL Made-It and Nicki Minaj. It produced the singles “We Can Get It On” and “5 Star (Remix)” starring Gucci Mane, Trina and Nicki Minaj. Gotti is President and CEO of Collective Music Group (CMG). Its predecessor was the Cocaine Muzik Group. The label includes artists such as Blac Youngsta, Moneybagg Yo and Snootie Wild.
Gotti’s seventh album, I Am, was released in November 2013 by CMG and Epic Records. It was led by Rich Homie Quan’s single “I Know” and Jeezy and YG’s “Act Right”. Both singles were certified Gold by the RIAA. The album was also nominated for the BET Hip Hop Album of the Year award. Gotti’s eighth album, The Art of Hustle, was released in February 2016. It’s No. 4 on the Billboard 200. The album features guest artists such as K. Michelle, E-40, Future and Timbaland. In late 2016, Gotti signed a partnership with his CMG label and Jay Z’s Roc Nation. He collaborated with record producer Mike Will Made on the mixtape Gotti Made-It (2017). It includes the single “Rake It Up” featuring Nicki Minaj.
