YBN Nahmir is an American rapper and songwriter. He is famous for songs such as “Rubbin Off The Paint”, “I Got A Stick” and “Glizzy Hella Geekin”. His records include mixtapes #YBN (2017) and Believe in the Earth (2017). Nahmir was born in Birmingham, Alabama on December 18, 1999, and was originally named Nicholas Simmons. He was raised by a single mother. He attended Clay-Chalkville High School in Alabama.

Nahmir started taking his rap career seriously when he was a teenager. He began to freely model in the GTA V live broadcast. His first track “Mopsticks” was uploaded to his SoundCloud page in September 2016. It now has thousands of rotations. Other early songs include “Half On A Baby”, “Spinnin”, “Twenty Foe” and “LA Fitness”. He co-authored the song “Dreezo” with the rapper Trouble. Nahmir joined YouTube in July 2014. His first single “Rubbin Off The Paint” was released on iTunes on October 20, 2017, produced by Izak. The official video directed by WaterWippinEvan has been viewed more than 129+ million times on YouTube. This song was co-signed by Chris Brown and PnB Rock. Nahmir’s recent songs include “Glizzy Hella Geekin”, “I Got A Stick” and “Change”. He collaborated with Key Glock on the track “If I Wanna” in October 2017. On October 25, 2017, he played a mixed video in Tay-K’s “The Race”.

Nahmir kicked off 2018 with the single “Bounce Out With That”. The official video has been watched 1+ million times. It is directed and edited by Cole Bennett of Lyrical Lemonade. Nahmir signed a recording contract with Atlantic Records in April 2018. Together with Wifisfuneral, BlocBoy JB and JID, he was selected into the 2018 XXL freshman class.
