Willie McGee Net Worth: Willie McGee is a retired American professional baseball player with a net worth of $12 million. Born in 1958 in San Francisco, California, Willie McGee was selected directly by the Chicago White Sox in the seventh round of the 1976 amateur draft.
About eight years later, he made his debut with the St. Louis Cardinals on May 10, 1982. McGee played for the St. Louis team for nearly a decade before becoming a member of the Oakland Athletics in 1990. He later played for his hometown San Francisco Giants from 1991 to 1994, the Boston Red Sox in 1995, and a second time with the Cardinals from 1996 to 1999. A right-handed outfielder, McGee was a four-time MLB All-Star, winner of three Golden Gloves (1983, 1985, 1986) and a Silver Bar in 1985. He was a two-time National League batting champion and won a World Series title with the Cardinals in 1982. McKee was named the National League’s Most Valuable Player in 1985. He is a member of the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame. McGee finished his career with a .295 batting average, 2,254 hits and 856 at-bats. After retiring, he served as special assistant to the Cardinals general manager.
