He was named to the Big 12 Second Team and was named to the All-American First Team in 2007 with the Tigers. The Atlanta Falcons selected strong safety in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft. That same year, he made his professional debut, appearing in two games as a rookie. Moore’s career was on the upswing in his second season as he appeared in all 16 games for the team with 72 tackles, five interceptions and one forced turnover. He signed as one of the team’s leading interceptors and tied with the Falcons in interceptions during the 2010 season. Moore signed a five-year contract with Atlanta in early 2013. By the end of the 2013 season, Moore had totaled 289 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 32 defensive passes, 14 interceptions and 8 forced turnovers. He won NFL Pro Bowl honors and appeared in the 2013 Pro Bowl alongside Falcons free safety Thomas DeCoud.
