Whitney Cummings is an American comedian, actor, writer, and producer. She wrote and starred in the NBC sitcom Whitney. Her film works include Honor Manufacturing (2008), Wedding Ring (2015) and Unforgettable (2017). Whitney Ann Cummings was born on September 4, 1982 in Washington, DC. Her father Vince is a venture capitalist, and her mother Patti works in public relations. She has a sister named Ashley and a half brother named Kevin. Cummings attended St. Andrew’s Bishop’s School, followed by the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies with honors in 2004.She also takes acting classes at the Studio Theater in Washington, D.C.

The film is directed by Paul Weiland, starring Patrick Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan. Cummings created and starred as the main character in the NBC sitcom Whitney. The show was broadcast for two seasons from September 2011 to March 2013. She hosted and served as the executive producer of the talk show “Love You Seriously” (2012-13). Her TV work also includes Chelsea’s recent comedy explosion! Bang!, Maron, Workaholics and Undateable. She co-wrote and wrote the CBS sitcom “2 Broke Girls” with director Michael Patrick King. Cummings played “Holly Munch” with Kevin Hart in “The Wedding Ring” (2015). Other films include “Absurdity 6” (2015) with Adam Sandler and “Unforgettable” (2017) with Catherine Heigl. Her book “I’m Fine…and Other Lies” was published in October 2017.
