Wesley Perth was born in Brantley, Alabama in 1971 and played high school basketball in his hometown before transitioning to college basketball with the Auburn University Tigers from 1990 to 1994. The Phoenix Suns selected the Perth NBA Draft with the 23rd overall pick in the 1994 first round.
The 6-foot-6, 195-pound shooting guard played with the Suns until 1997 before joining the Cleveland Cavaliers for the next five years until 2002. Later, Perth played for the Memphis Grizzlies from 2002 to 2003 and the Portland Trail Blazers from 2003 to 2003. 2004, 2004 Atlanta Hawks, 2004-2005 Miami Heat, and finally 2005 Denver Nuggets.
