Bridge started as a starter but failed to secure a starting berth for the Blues, winning two League Cups in 2005 and 2007 before moving to Manchester City in 2009. During his Premier League career he also spent time on loan at West Fulham for Ham United, Sunderland, Brighton and Hove Albion. As for his international career, Bridge has also made 36 appearances for the England national team, including representing England at the World Cup.
