Waka Flocka Flame is an American hip-hop artist and reality show star. He became a household name with the 2010 single “No Hands” starring Roscoe Dash and Will. His complete projects include Flockaveli (2010), Triple F Life: Fans, Friends & Family (2012) and Ferrari Boyz (2011) and Gucci Mane. Waka Flocka is also known for his “Salute Me or Shoot Me” mixtape series. In 2014, he joined the supporting role of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.
His name is Juaquin James Malphurs and he was born on May 31, 1986 in Queens, New York. His mother Debra Antney is no stranger to the music industry. She used to be the manager of Gucci Mane. Joaquin spent his childhood in a residential area of Jamaica. When he was about 9 years old, the family moved to Riverdale, Georgia. He currently represents Atlanta, Georgia. In January 2010, Joaquin was shot and killed during a robbery at a local car wash. He was not seriously injured. His younger brother KayO Redd died of suicide in December 2013.

Waka Flocka’s second solo album Triple F Life: Fans, Friends & Family was released in July 2012, led by Drake’s “Round of Applause”. Other outstanding tracks include “I Don’t really Care” with Trey Songz, and “Get Low” with Nicki Minaj, Tyga and Flo Rida. Waka Flocka released 11 mixtapes between 2013 and 2018. He is currently working on his third solo album Flockaveli 2.
In addition to music, Waka Flocka is also a reality TV star. He made his debut in the 2014 episode of “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” called “The Next Chapter.” He appeared in a total of 16 episodes between 2014 and 2017. Waka Flocka played “Bijou” in the thriller “Mollywood” (2018). His works also include FishCenter Live, Wild’N Out, Black Dynamite, Ridiculousness and the upcoming Meet the Flockas.
