Victoria Allen is an American television personality, motivational speaker and model. She is a former Paralympic swimmer, gold medalist and world record holder. She currently works as a sports presenter for ESPN. Allen was born on September 26, 1994 in Boston, Massachusetts. She grew up in Exeter, New Hampshire. Her parents are Larry and Jacqueline. She has three brothers, triplets LJ, William and Cameron.

Arlen is a former Paralympic swimmer specializing in freestyle and breaststroke. Before her injury, she was a local junior swimmer. Arlen tried and made the U.S. Paralympic swim team in 2012. She was 17 at the time. She competed at the London 2012 Paralympic Games and won four medals. She won gold in the 100m freestyle and silver in the 400m and 50m freestyle. She won her third silver medal as a member of Team USA’s 4x100m freestyle relay. Arlen holds the world record in the 100-meter freestyle. Her autobiography, Locked, will be published in 2018.

Arlen transitioned to TV in early 2015. She was hired as ESPN’s sportscaster at the age of 21. She was ESPN’s youngest regular reporter at the time. She has covered shows such as X-Games, ESPY Awards, Special Olympics World and SportsCenter. Arlen is also a motivational speaker. She has spoken and shared her incredible journey at institutions like TEDx and companies like Disney and Pfizer. In September 2017, he was selected as a contestant for the 25th season of “Dancing with the Stars”. Her partner is professional dancer Valentin Chmerkovskiy. The season will premiere on ABC on September 18, 2017.

Victoria Allen is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall. She developed rare transverse myelitis and acute disseminated encephalomyelitis at the age of 11. For four years, she lost the ability to speak, eat and walk. Doctors think recovery is unlikely. However, Alan started her recovery in 2010. Slowly but surely she regained the ability to speak, eat and move around. In 2016, she regained her ability to walk. Project Walk, a paralysis rehabilitation center, helped her recover.
