Ty Dolla Sign is an American singer/songwriter, rapper and music producer. He is famous for songs such as “Or Nah”, “Paranoid” and “Blase”. His records include Free TC (2015) and Beach House 3 (2017). He is a founding member of the music production team DRUGS Ty Dolla Sign, formerly known as Tyrone William Griffin Jr., was born on April 13, 1985 in Los Angeles, California. His father Tyrone Sr. is a musician and a member of the LakeSide band. He has two siblings, Big TC and Angel Gold. Ty grew up in south central Los Angeles. He once belonged to the Bloods street gang.

Ty Dolla Sign is a multi-instrument player. He can play bass guitar, drums and keyboards. He is one-half of the duo “Ty & Kory”. Their mixtape Raw & Bangin Mixtape Vol 2 was released by Buddah Brown in 2008. The two fell out and finally parted ways. Ty Dolla Sign made a major breakthrough in the single “Toot It and Boot It” in the YG mixtape The Real 4Fingaz (2010). It became his first Billboard Hot 100 single at number 60. His first EP Beach House EP was released in January 2014. Headed by the single “Or Nah” starring Wiz Khalifa and DJ Mustard. Ty Dolla Sign’s first studio album Free TC was released by Atlantic in November 2015. It is dedicated to his imprisoned brother TC. The album ranked 14th on the Billboard 200 and sold more than 20,000 copies in the first week. It gave birth to the single “Saved” by E-40, “Wavy” by Joe Moses and “Blase” by Rae Sremmurd.

Ty Dolla Sign also signed with Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang Records. The two co-produced a free EP and talked about it in the morning (2015). The track list includes “Judge It”, “Say No More” and “Pretty Nights”. Ty appears in the song “Sucker for Pain” in Suicide Squad: The Album (2016). His 9th mixed tape “Campaign” was released before the 2016 presidential election. It features guest poems from Migos, Trey Songz, Meek Mill and Future. Ty’s second studio album Beach House 3 was released in October 2017. The production was handled by Mike Will Made It, Mike Dean, DJ Mustard and others. It produced the single “Love U Better” starring Lil Wayne and The-Dream, and “So Am I” starring Damian Marley and Skrillex.
