Travers Duncan Net Worth: Travers Duncan is an Australian businessman with a net worth of $630 million. Most of Travers Duncan’s fortune came from cash from the 2009 sale of coal group Felix Resources; he is a co-founder and majority shareholder. The current chairman of listed clean coal group Bai Neng; its shares are falling as it battles a former Indonesian joint venture partner.
Duncan is a civil engineer with over 40 years of experience in project management of large mining and infrastructure development projects in Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and India. Duncan’s experience includes the successful financing and development of the Piparwar Coal Mine in India, the North Goonyella Coal Project in Queensland and the Ulan Coal Mine in New South Wales. He also serves as Chairman of Felix Resources Ltd. Travers Duncan has played a key role in the White Group, most recently as Chairman of White Mining Limited, with a particular focus on advancing White Mining’s projects in NSW. He led a team developing and commercializing Ultra Clean Coal (UCC) technology, and he identified the binderless coal briquetting process as a means of aggregating ultra clean coal for transport through conventional transportation systems. He has been Chairman of White Energy Company Limited since August 2010. He also serves as a director of Ashton Coal Mines Limited. Duncan is a member of the NSW Government’s Clean Coal Commission. He has over 30 years of experience managing large coal mines and infrastructure development projects in Australia, India, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
