In 1996, Delke won the NCAA Championship, was named the Final Four Most Outstanding Player, the SEC Player of the Year, and was recognized as the All-American First Team. Delke was selected with the 16th overall pick by the Charlotte Hornets in the 1996 NBA draft. He played for the Hornets from 1997 to 1997 and then the Golden State Warriors from 1997 to 1999. Delke played for the Sacramento Kings from 1999 to 2000, the Phoenix Suns from 2000 to 2002, the Boston Celtics from 2002 to 2003, the Dallas Mavericks from 2003 to 2004, and from 2004 With the Atlanta Hawks through 2006, and the Detroit Pistons from 2004 through 2006.
