Tommy Weishaupt is an American actor, director, producer and writer. He played the dual roles of “Charlie” and “Ricky Rick” in the Hulu sitcom The Neighbors (2014). His film works include The Room (2003), Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance (2015) and Best F(r)iends (2018). Wiseau, formerly known as Piotr Wieczorkiewicz, was born on October 3, 1955 in Poznan, Poland. Before moving to the United States, he lived in France. When he became an American citizen, his name was changed to “Tommy Weishaupt”. Viso enrolled at Lenny College in Oakland, California. He has studied acting in Vincent Chase Studio, Jean Shelton Actors Lab and Stella Adler Performing Arts Studio.

Before acting/film production, Wiseau worked odd jobs such as street vendors, restaurant waiters and hospital staff. He drew inspiration from the likes of James Dean, Marlon Brando, and Tennessee Williams. His screen debut was the independent feature film “The Room” (2003). He has also served as a writer, director and producer. The film’s production budget was $6 million, but it did not perform well at the box office. Wiseau directed and starred in the documentary “American Homeless” (2004). He was chosen as the interviewer. The film won the Best Social Documentary Award at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival. Wiseau guest starred in the 2009 skit comedy series Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!. He appeared in short films, The House That Drips Blood on Alex (2010) and Bump (2011).

Wiseau created and starred in the Hulu sitcom “Neighbor”. He plays the dual roles of “Charlie” and “Ricky Rick”. The show premiered in March 2015. Wiseau and Greg Sestero co-starred in the comedy thriller Best F(r)iends (2018). He played the supporting role of “Linton Kitano” in Samurai Police 2: Deadly Revenge (2015). He guest-starred in Disaster Artist (2017) starring Dave Franco and James Franco. His works also include Cold Moon (2016) with Josh Stewart and Samurai with Matt Hannon (2016).
