Tom Preston-Werner was born in Dubuque, Iowa in October 1979. He is best known as the co-founder and former CEO of GitHub Inc. He co-founded the company in 2007 with Chris Wanstrath, both at Ruby on Rails, a web development framework company.
Preston-Werner resigned from the company in 2014 after allegations of harassment by one of the company’s programmers.
