Tom Bergeron is an American game show host, television personality and comedian. He shot to fame on shows like America’s Funniest Home Videos, Dancing with the Stars and Hollywood Squares. Bergeron was born on May 6, 1955 in Haverhill, Massachusetts. He was raised by parents Katherine and Raymond. Bergeron attended Haverhill High School in Massachusetts. He has served as editor of the school newspaper and student council president. He also trained in pantomime and drama at the University of North Essex.

Bergeron started working locally as a DJ on WHAV radio. He had early success with WHEB radio in Portsmouth. His popularity landed him on Boston’s WBZ-TV, where he hosted a talk show and various children’s shows. Bergeron has contributed to many shows, including Evening Magazine, Lottery Live, and People Are Talking. From 1984 to 1987, he hosted the Massachusetts lottery draw. He also hosts the morning radio show The Tom Bergeron Show on WBZ Radio.
