Born Kwasi Danquah III, Accra, Greater Accra, Ghana on September 14, 1986, he is the co-founder and co-chief executive officer (CEO) of Takeover Roc Nation, a global independent record label and entertainment company. Stryder has released three solo albums: Star in the Hood, Catch 22 and Third Strike. His projects outside of music include the clothing line Star in the Hood and serving as President and CEO of Takeover/Cloud 9, the music publishing company of EMI Music Publishing. Stryder co-owns Takeover Roc Nation with musician Jay-Z. Stryder announced in 2010 that he would be a footballer and was hired by Honda’s motorcycle division in 2011 to help them push the division’s Vision 50 in a pan-European campaign. His charity work includes attending the 02 Shepherds Bush Empire (2010) charity ball and auction in England for Alicia Keys’ charity Keep a Child Alive. In 2012, he founded Goji Electronics, which manufactures a line of headphones, computers, smartphones and audio products and donates a portion of the proceeds to charity.
