Who is Caiying?
Chae Young was born in Seoul, South Korea on April 23, 1999. She is a singer, rapper, songwriter and designer, most famously she is a member of the Korean K-pop girl group Twice managed by JYP Entertainment. She is one of the nine members of one of the most popular Korean girl groups in recent years.

As of the beginning of 2020, Caiying’s net assets are estimated to exceed US$300,000, which was obtained through a successful career in the music industry.
She has been a member of Twice since its establishment in 2015 and has released many music with the band. She also toured around the world with Twice.
Early life and career start
When she was young, Caiying aspired to become a female idol in the Korean entertainment industry. She auditioned to become an intern at JYP Entertainment, the largest entertainment company in Korea. As we all know, they manage many popular performances such as Miss A, Wonder Girl, Rain, 2AM, 2PM and Itzy.
She succeeded in the audition and started training at JYP for more than a year. In 2015, she made her debut in the live-action survival show “Sixteen” created by JYP, aiming to determine the lineup of the upcoming girl group project Twice. She is one of the successful contestants and one of the youngest contestants.

After their lineup was finalized, the band quickly produced their first extended play (EP) called “The Story of the Start”, which contained the single “Like Ooh-Ahh”, which quickly became popular on the Internet , Became one of the most watched music videos of any K-pop band when they debuted.
Rise to fame
The following year, Caiying and Twice released their second EP “Page Two”, which included the single “Cheer Up”, which will continue to consolidate their status as one of the most popular girl groups in the industry. Later this year, they produced their third EP called “Twicecoaster: Lane 1”, which contains dance music “TT”.
The song received more than 200 million views on YouTube and topped the charts for four consecutive weeks, and then toured South Korea and Southeast Asia to promote their music. In 2017, they released “Twicecoaster: Lane 2”. It contains the single “Knock Knock”. Their fame also spread to Japan. Recent projects
In early 2018, Twice began touring after the release of the Japanese single “Candy Pop”.
A few months later, they released their fifth EP titled “What is Love?” and obtained the Korean Platinum certification from the Korea Music Content Association (KMCA). An expanded version was later released, which contained additional singles. Later in the same year, they released their first Japanese studio album “BDZ”. They toured to promote their album, and then released their next EP called “Yes or Yes”.
In 2019, Twice became the first K-pop artist to hold a Japan Dome tour, and it quickly sold out.

Subsequently, they released their seventh EP called “Fancy You”. With the release of this album, the group became the best-selling Korean girl group of all time, with sales of more than 3.75 million copies. personal life
Like many K-pop idols, Caiying is single and is unlikely to establish any romantic relationships anytime soon.
This is because she has time constraints due to her work, and the relationship often has to be approved by management, as this will affect the overall image of the idol.
Among all the members of Twice, Caiying is the one who likes to sleep the most. She also likes playing basketball and watching Disney movies. She and Tzuyu are good friends and they are the same age. Her favorite colors are purple and black. She prefers to rap, although other Twice members have proven her singing ability.
