Who is Xiu Nu?
Sun Xianyu was born in Seoul, South Korea on June 18, 1992. He is a singer and dancer, most famously the lead singer of the K-pop boy group Monsta X. He is considered the main dancer and leader of the group, which consists of six members.

Early life and career start
Shownu grew up in Seoul as an only child. When he was young, he determined to find a career in the Korean entertainment industry and became an idol. He began to develop his singing skills and participated in auditions for JYP Entertainment. He was very successful and joined one of the largest entertainment companies in the country, responsible for groups such as Stray Kids, Twice, Day6 and Itzy. He trained with many future members of the boy band Got7, including BamBam, Youngjae, Jinyoung and JB-he became close friends with the band, but did not enter the final editing.
At that time he was mainly a dancer, and this experience helped him develop his choreography skills. Later, he changed direction, ended his contract with JYP, and joined a new entertainment company called Starship Entertainment. The company has been operating since 2008 and is the hometown of Cosmic Girls, Mind U, Duetto, Jooyoung, K. Will and others. He joined a reality show called “No Mercy”, which led to the formation of Monsta X.

Seven members were selected from the 12 trainees who participated in “No Mercy”. Shownu was one of the winners and became a member of the network program “Deokspatch”, showing a relaxed side for all trainees. The show later continued after the formation of Monsta X, focusing on their variety show activities. Monsta X represents the monster conquering the K-pop scene, as described by the group. In 2016, the band debuted an extended play (EP) called “Trespass”, which defined itself by focusing more on the hip-hop genre.

In 2016, they released their third extended drama “The Clan Pt. 1 Lost” and held their first solo concert, which quickly sold out.

They also appeared in the animated series “We Bare Bears” and signed their English recordings with Epic Records. Some of their recent albums include their seventh EP titled “Follow: Find You”. Later this year, Wonho was announced to go to Monsta X because the allegations against him are under investigation. Fans expressed their dissatisfaction with the way Starship handled the situation and asked him to return to the organization.
personal life
As we all know, Shownu is single, he prefers to be like a K-pop artist, keeping any romantic relationships away from the public. Management is more willing to keep the relationship secret, because it may affect their public image.
In 2019, it was reported that Shownu had a romantic relationship with a married woman after the husband suggested to the authorities that his wife used Shownu to deceive him. The singer and management later clarified that Shownu knew this person before they got married and did not know that she was married when they met last time. As soon as he heard the news, he severed all contact and did not want to intervene in the life of the couple.
