The Chainsmokers (Andrew Taggart, Alex Pall) are an American electronic music duo formed in New York City. They broke into the music scene in 2014 with the single “#Selfie”. They have since released the album Memories…Do Not Open (2017) and the EPs Bouquet (2015) and Collage (2016). Their hit single “Closer” peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. They won a Grammy for Best Dance Recording for their single “Don’t Let Me Down”.

It has doubled its sales and is certified Platinum in the US. It was led by the Grammy-winning single “Don’t Let Me Down,” starring Daya. Other tracks on the EP include “Inside Out” by Charlee and “Closer” by Halsey. The latter remained at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for 12 consecutive weeks.
The Chainsmokers won the 2016 American Music Awards for Favorite Electronic/Dance Music Artist. By the end of 2016, they were number 18 on DJ Magazine’s list of 100 DJs. They have also won multiple Billboard Music Awards and iHeartRadio Music Awards. The Chainsmokers’ debut studio album, Memories…Do Not Open, was released in April 2017 by Disruptor and Columbia Records. It debuted at the top of the Billboard 200. The album was led by the single “Paris” and “Something Just Like This” featuring Coldplay. The official music video for “Paris” features fashion model Martha Hunt.
