Tekashi 6ix9ine (Tekashi69) is an American rapper, singer and songwriter from New York City. His previous stage name was Wallah Dan. 6ix9ine is a member of ScumGang. He once belonged to Tr3way Entertainment. His recordings include the studio album Dummy Boy (2018) and the mixing tape Day69 (2018). Outstanding songs include “GUMMO” and “BEBE” with Anuel AA and “FEFE” with Nicki Minaj and Murda Beatz.
Tekashi69 was originally named Daniel Hernandez and was born on May 8, 1996 in Brooklyn, New York. His mother is Mexican and his father is Puerto Rican. He grew up in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn. In 2009, 6ix9ine’s father was shot and killed outside their home. At the age of only 13 years old, the tragic loss caused a deep depression.
