Ted Marchibroda is an American professional football player and retired NFL head coach. He was born Theodore Joseph Marchibroda on March 15, 1931 in Franklin, Pennsylvania. He played football as a quarterback during his time at St. Bend’s University.
Profession
In the 1953 NFL draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers selected Marchi Broda. He served a year in the U.S. Army but returned to the Steelers from 1955 to 1956. In 1957, he went on to play for the Chicago Cardinals. He was an assistant coach for the Washington Redskins from 1961-1965 and an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Rams from 1966-1970. In 1975, he became the head coach of the Baltimore Colts and led the team to the AFC East title. From 1989 to 1991, he was the offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills. He was inducted into the National Polish-American Sports Hall of Fame in 1976.
