Tay-K (Tay-K 47) is an American rapper and a former member of the rap group Daytona Boyz. He gained fame with the hit single “The Race” in the mixtape #SantanaWorld (2017). In 2017, Tay-K was arrested for murder in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He was convicted on July 23, 2019 and sentenced to 55 years in prison. He was born on June 16, 2000 in Long Beach, California, and his name is Taymor Travon McIntyre. His mother was a member of Baby Insane Crip, and his father was locked up for most of his childhood. He has a younger sister. Tay-K lived briefly in Las Vegas, Nevada. When he was about 9 years old, the family moved to Arlington, Texas. He attended Martin High School, and then the turning point.

Tay-K signed a contract with J Grand’s independent label, 88 Classic. The brand is the hometown of rapper King Los. His latest single “Hard” in collaboration with BlocBoy JB was released in March 2018.

Tay-K and 6 others were arrested for murder in July 2016. He was under house arrest until the certification hearing. However, a few days before the hearing, he took off the ankle monitor and fled to San Antonio, Texas. He was captured by the Bureau of Marshals of the United States in Elizabeth, New Jersey, on June 30, 2017. Tay-K was transferred to an adult prison in July 2017 and decided that he will be tried as an adult in this case. The second murder charge was filed against him in September 2017. On July 15, 2019, Tay-K pleaded guilty to two serious robberies related to the July 2016 crime. He pleaded not guilty to murder and another serious robbery related to Zachary Beloate. Tay-K was eventually convicted of murder, and his sentence was executed on July 23, 2019. He was sentenced to 55 years in prison.
