Early life and ex-HGTV career

As the global economy recovers, so does Tarek and Christina’s real estate business. In 2011, Tarek asked a friend on a whim to film him and Christina flipping a house from start to finish, with the aim of editing it into an audition tape. The video, along with Christina’s Instagram page, caught the attention of producers at Pie Town Productions and HGTV. Christina and Tarek signed a deal with HGTV in 2012, and their show Flip or Flop premiered in April 2013. The show follows the couple through the often stressful process of bidding, renovating and restoring the property to make it competitive in the market and then resell. Following the divorce, The El Moussa Group disbanded and now operates under the name Tarek and Associates.
Christina married British TV presenter Ant Anstead in December 2018. They have a son, Hudson Anstead, who was born on September 6, 2019. When they got married, they bought a $4.1 million home two blocks away in Newport Beach, California.
