Tamron Hall is an American TV reporter, TV presenter, and former reporter for NBC News. She hosted MSNBC Live and Today’s Take. She currently hosts “Deadline: Crime” on the ID channel. Hall was born on September 16, 1970 in Road Ridge, Texas. She was raised by her mother Mary and stepfather Clarence, who inspired her to become a journalist. She has an older sister, Renate, who was murdered in 2004. Hall studied at Temple University in Philadelphia. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcasting Journalism in 1992.

Profession
After graduation, Hall worked as a reporter at KBTX-TV. In 1994, she joined KTVT employees in her hometown of Texas. Three years later, she found a position at WFLD-TV in Chicago, Illinois. She has worked at WFLD-TV for ten years since 1997. Hall serves as a consumer/general mission reporter. Before Obama ran for president in 2008, she interviewed him. Hall joined the MSNBC News Network in 2007. She has served as a regular reporter and temporary anchor.

Hall co-hosted “The Big Picture” with David Shuster from 2009 to 2010. She started hosting NewsNation in 2010 and became the co-anchor of Today’s Take in February 2014. She officially left NBC and MSNBC in February 2017. Hall was nominated for Emmy Awards in 1999’s “Bottom Line” and 2011’s “Education Country: Teachers’ Town Hall”. She won the Lew Klein Alumni Award of the Media Award in 2010 at Temple University. Hall’s upcoming joint talk show will premiere in September 2019. Television producer Bill Gerdy will serve as executive producer.
