Tamar Braxton is the younger sister of American singer, TV personality and Toni Braxton. She has released 5 studio albums, including Love and War (2013) and Calling All Lovers (2015). The Braxtons signed with Arista Records in 1989. Their debut single “Good Life” came out the following year. The group subsequently signed to Atlantic Records and released their album So Many Ways (1996). Braxton began her solo career with the album Tamar (2000) released by DreamWorks Records. Her second album, Love and War, came out in November 2013 many years later. It was nominated for 2 Grammy Awards, including 1 for Best Urban Contemporary Album. Braxton followed up with Winter Loversland (2013) and Calling All Lovers (2015). Her latest project, Happy Bluebird, was released in 2017 by Tamartianland and E1 Music.
Braxton made her debut on the reality series “Braxton Family Values.” The show premiered on WE tv in April 2011. It co-stars Tony, Tracy, Towanda, Trina and Evelyn. Braxton starred alongside Vincent Herbert in the spin-off series Tamar and Vince (2012-17). She is a contestant in Dancing with the Stars and most recently Celebrity Big Brother. Her TV credits also include The Soul Man, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Being Mary Jane and In the Cut.
