Strive Masiyiwa Net worth: Strive Masiyiwa is a Zimbabwean businessman with a net worth of $600 million. As the owner of Econet Wireless, which he founded in 1993, Strive Masiyiwa earned his net worth. For Masiyiwa, building Econet was no easy task. He fought a landmark legal battle with the Zimbabwean government for five years, and as a result, Econet didn’t come online until 1998.

Today, Econet is the largest telecommunications company in Zimbabwe, with operations in Kenya and Burundi. In addition to launching Econet, Masiyiwa also co-owns the Carbon War Room with British entrepreneur Richard Branson, an international non-profit that helps entrepreneurs come up with solutions to climate change. He is also the publisher of Zimbabwe’s only independent newspaper, The Daily News. The publication was shut down by the government in 2003. Known as Africa’s Bill Gates, Masiyiwa has multiple business interests and investments in some of Africa’s leading financial services and renewable energy companies. He has been a member of numerous committees both internationally and in his home country. Strive was appointed by Bill Clinton to serve the Southern African Enterprise Development Fund. His contributions to the business world have not gone unnoticed, as Masieva was named to Time magazine’s list of global business influencers in 2002.
