early life
Steven Aaron Jordan was born on November 2, 1971 in Utica, New York. When he was eight months old, after his mother Penny abandoned the family, his father Moses grew up in Buffalo and Rochester, New York. His father is a Pentecostal bishop.
Stevie J plays bass guitar for R&B band Jodeci. He appeared in their 1995 album “The Show, The After Party, The Hotel”. Jordan is a member of Swing Mob of Rochester Records in New York, founded by r DeVante Swing of Jodeci.

Stevie J was discovered by Sean “P Diddy” Combs in the early 1990s. Diddy signed Stevie J to the list of producers and writers at Bad Boy Records. He made the single “Only You”, but the R&B combination 112. Notorious BIG appeared in that song. This led Stevie J to make Biggie’s “Mo Money Mo Problems”, “Nasty Boy”, “Notorious Thugs” (featuring Bone Thugs-N-Harmony), “Another”, “You are nothing (until someone kills) You)”, and “Last Day”.
Stevie J made several tracks on Diddy’s debut album “No Way Out”, including “I’ll Be Missing You”, a song that pays tribute to Notorious BIG. He won a Grammy Award in 1997 for his Combs album.

The show chronicles the lives of Stevie and Joseline in Los Angeles as they prepare for their film project “That Time.” Eight episodes in one season. His show “Leave It to Stevie” premiered on VH1 on December 19, 2016. This is the third spin-off of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta”. “Leave it to Steve” two seasons and eight episodes per season.

Stevie J has a romantic relationship with Eve, Alex Martin (daughter of Ubi Goldberg), Mimi Faust and Joseline Hernandez. It is said that Eve’s song “Gotta Man” is about him.
Jordan has six children with five different women. His sons Dorian Henderson-Jordan and Rhonda Henderson were born in 1995. His daughters Sade Jordan and Felicis Stover were born in 1995. His son Steven Jordan Jr. was born in 1997, and his daughter Savannah Jordan was born in 1998 with Carol Antoinette Bennett. Daughters Eva Gisele Jordan and Mimi Faust were born in 2009. In June 2014, Stevie J was arrested in Georgia for failing to pay more than $1 million in child support to his ex-girlfriend. Stevie and his predecessor have two children, one was born in 1997 and the other was born in 1998. After they broke up in 1999, the judge ordered Stevie J to pay $6,600 a month in child support. This sum eventually increased to $8,500. Unfortunately, Stevie stopped making payments at some point in 2001, and for the next 13 years, he was saddled with debts worth $1.1 million.
