Steve Earle Net Worth: Steve Earle is an American musician, producer, actor and author who has a net worth of $5 million. Born in Hampton, Virginia in 1955, Steve Earle started playing guitar before his 12th birthday, before running away a few years later in pursuit of his idol, musician Townes Van Zant.
Soon, he dropped out of high school and moved to Houston to pursue his music career. Three years later, Earl moved to Nashville to work by day and play music by night. He was part of Guy Clark’s band and was included on the album “Old No. 1”. Earl started working at a publishing company, but soon moved back to Texas to form his own band, The Dukes. He wasn’t long in Texas before moving back to Nashville to start working.
Johnny Lee recorded Earle’s song “When You Fall in Love”, which climbed to number 14 on the country charts. Earle’s first EP, Pink and Black, was released in 1982. Four years later, his debut album came out. The record-breaking first single “Guitar Town” broke into the top ten.

Earl’s music has appeared in dozens of movies and TV shows, including “Beverly Hillbills,” “Rookie,” “The Wire,” “Brokeback Mountain,” “Talladega Nights,” “Friday Night Lights” and “PS I love you”.
Earl was married seven times. He has one child with his most recent wife, Allison Moorer, who separated in early 2014. He battled heroin addiction and was arrested for drug possession in the 90s. Rolling Stone’s 1986 Country Artist of the Year, who received an honorary degree from CUNY Law School in 2011, is an outspoken opponent of the death penalty.
