Steve Bannon is a former White House chief strategist and former senior adviser to the President of the United States. He was previously executive chairman of Breitbart News. He is also a former film producer and banker. Bannon was born Stephen Kevin Bannon on November 27, 1953 in Norfolk, Virginia. He attended Virginia Tech and Georgetown University. Bannon continued his studies at Harvard Business School. He holds two master’s degrees in National Security Studies and Business Administration.

Bannon served as a surface warfare officer in the U.S. Navy. Upon completion, he took a job as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs. Bannon co-founded the boutique investment firm “Bannon & Co.”. 1990. After successfully negotiating the sale of Castle Rock Entertainment to Ted Turner, he became a shareholder in the NBC sitcom Seinfeld. The Bannon Company was sold in 1998.
Bannon was the executive producer of the 1999 theatrical thriller Titus. The film is directed by Julie Taymor and stars Anthony Hopkins and Jessica Lange. Bannon’s next big project was the 2004 documentary “Facing Evil.” The film is based on Ronald Reagan’s life, career, achievements and struggles. Other notable films include Heartland Fire (2010) with Michele Bachmann, The Undefeated (2011) with Sarah Palin, and Occupy Without a Mask (2012) with Andrew Breitbart and Clinton Cash (2016) with Hillary Clinton.
Bannon served as CEO of Affinity Media from 2007 to 2011. He co-founded the Government Accountability Institute in 2012. He also held the title of Executive Chairman of Breitbart News LLC for four years, beginning in March 2012. In 2016, Bannon was named chief executive of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. He served as “White House Chief Strategy Officer” and “Senior Advisor to the President” from January 20, 2017 to August 18, 2017.
