Stephen Miller is an American politician and a member of the Republican Party. He served as a senior policy adviser to President Donald Trump. His previous position was the communications director of then Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions. Miller was born on August 23, 1985 in Santa Monica, California. His parents are Miriam and Michael. He has two brothers and sisters, Jacob and Alexis. Miller attended Santa Monica High School and Duke University. He graduated in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in political science.

In 2006, he received attention for defending three Duke lacrosse players who were falsely accused of rape. This led him to appear in shows such as “The O’Reilly Factor” and “Nancy Grace”. After graduating from Miller University, his career began as the press secretary of U.S. Representatives Michele Bachmann and John Shadegg. He started working for then Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions in 2009. His position was promoted to director of communications. During his tenure, he helped defeat the immigration reform bill introduced by the Gang of Eight in 2013. He also wrote several Sessions speeches on the bill.

In January 2016, Miller was appointed as the senior policy adviser for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. He was praised for writing Trump’s 2016 RNC speech. He became the head of Trump’s economic policy team in August 2016 and became the director of national policy in November 2016. Miller was sworn in as Senior Advisor to the President in January 2017. He wrote Trump’s inauguration speech and published it on January 20, 2017. Miller served as a contributor to Trump’s executive order, which was designed to restrict immigration from seven countries. He contributed to Trump’s first speech in Congress (February 2017) and subsequent speeches to NATO leaders (May 2017).
