Stephen Curry is an American professional basketball player currently signed with the Golden State Warriors. He plays the point guard position and is known for his shooting ability. He is a three-time NBA All-Star and currently holds the record for the most three-pointers made in the regular season with 402. He and teammate Klay Thompson are known as the “Splash Brothers.”
Curry was born on March 14, 1988 in Akron, Ohio. His father, Dell, and his younger brother, Seth, both played in the NBA. He grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and attended Charlotte Christian School. He led his team to three conference championships and a scholarship to Davidson College. He played for the Davidson Wildcats from 2006-2009, averaging 25.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 37 assists. During his college career, he reached a peak height of 6-foot-3.

Curry was selected by the Golden State Warriors in the 2009 NBA draft. He played his first All-Star Game in 2014 and was named the Most Valuable Player in 2015. He joins Steve Nash, Larry Bird, Mark Price, Reggie Miller, Dirk Nowitzki and Kevin Durant. He also led the NBA in steals and scoring in 2016. The Golden State Warriors set a new NBA record with a 73-9 record. The record was previously held by Michael Jordan and the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls at 72-10. In 2016, “Baby-faced Assassin” Stephen Curry became the first unanimous player in NBA history to win the MVP title. They lost the 2016 NBA championship to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
