Stephen A. Smith is an American sports journalist, radio host, actor and television personality. He currently hosts ESPN First Take with Molly Qerim and Max Kellerman. He has been on ESPN’s SportsCenter and NBA Countdown. Stephen Anthony Smith was born on October 14, 1967 in the Bronx, New York. His mother’s name was Janet. He has 5 siblings and a half-brother. Smith grew up in Queens, New York, and attended Thomas Edison High School. He briefly studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology before entering Winston-Salem State University on a basketball scholarship. He graduated in Mass Communication in 1991.
