Mr. Nilekani started his fortune as the co-founder and former CEO of Infosys, India’s third largest IT company by revenue, which provides business consulting, technology, engineering and outsourcing services. Now, he continues to build on his fortune as the chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and recently plans to go fully into politics, ie he intends to contest the 2014 federal elections with the Congress party votes.
