Soulja Boy is an American rapper, music producer and founder of Stacks on Deck Entertainment. His records include 3 studio albums, more than 35 mixtapes and several music videos. He is one of the main actors in the VH1 reality show Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. Soulja Boy was originally called DeAndre Cortez Way and was born on July 28, 1990 in Chicago, Illinois. His parents are Lisa and Tracy Way. His younger brother “Deion Jenkins” was killed in a car accident in March 2011. Soulja Boy moved to Batesville, Mississippi when he was a teenager. He attended South Panola High School.

Soulja Boy started his music career at the age of 14. He founded the record label Stacks on Deck Entertainment in 2004. The following year he signed to Interscope Records and Collipark Music. Soulja Boy made his TV show debut on the Ellen DeGeneres show in 2007. Since then, he has guest appearances on the scene with Regis, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and Jay Leno’s Tonight Show. Soulja Boy played himself in the VH1 reality show series “Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood” (2014). The show also starred Teaira Mari, Ray J and Lil’ Fizz. Soulja Boy played the supporting role “Rudy” in the action thriller “The Police Officer Fall (2013)” starring Stephen Dorf.
