SOB X RBE is an American hip-hop band founded in Vallejo, California. The group consists of four young rappers; Yhung TO, Daboii, Slimmy B and Lul G. In 2017, two hit singles “Different” and “Anti” will consolidate their status as talented rising star rappers. The nickname started in early 2016 and stands for Strictly Only Brothers, Real Boi Entertainment. Before the group of four, each of them will try amateur recording. Music and freestyle are usually recorded by mobile phones and uploaded to YouTube and other social media platforms. How they met each other, from friendly basketball games to online games. TO is considered to be the anchor of the music, and Daboii, the old soul, introverted, ironically, went crazy into the microphone. Slimmy B is the oldest of its kind, rock solid and versatile. Lul G of Party Life is described as a baby-faced villain. When a team is working on a major project together, everyone takes pride in developing a personal career. In 2017, SOB X RBE began to release their eponymous mixed tape. The mixtapes featuring “Different” and “Anti” performed quite well. Not only are the singles very popular, but they have also become the hottest singles to date. Under the supervision of the senior manager Stretch, the group continues to flourish. California rapper Sage the Gemini noticed their talents and contacted SOB X RBE for business opportunities. The two entities began to collaborate, tour and perform live. In the process, hip-hop bands were introduced to many well-known rappers. As collective efforts continue to bear fruit, individual work has also paid off.
In early 2018, after a series of solo releases, SOB X RBE gave up their first album “Gangin”. The album eventually reached the Billboard 200 list and reached 74. In their biggest exposure to date, Kendrick Lamar recruited them for a song on the Black Panther album “Paramedic”. This movie is selling well at the box office, magnifying their mark on rap music.
