Shawty Lo is an American rapper and founder of the hip-hop group D4L. His debut album, Units in the City, was released in 2008 and featured the hit single “Dey Know”. He was the star of the canceled reality series “My Baby Moms.” Rowe was born Carlos Walker on March 31, 1976, in Atlanta, Georgia. His mother was a drug addict and his father was absent for most of his childhood. He grew up near Bowen House with his sister and grandmother.

The album peaked at number 22 on the Billboard 200, selling over 40,000 copies in its first week.
