Shareef O’Neal is a basketball player at the American Crossroads School. He is 6 feet 9 inches tall and serves as a power forward position. He is one of the best high school players in the class. Sharif Rashaun O’Neill was born on January 9, 2000 in Los Angeles, California. His father Shaquille O’Neal is a retired NBA player and member of the Hall of Fame. His mother, Shawnee O’Neill, is a TV personality. He has three siblings, Amirah, Shaqir and Me’arah, and two half siblings, Taahirah and Myles. Shareef attended Windward School, followed by Crossroads School. During the FBI investigation, he was relieved from Arizona in February 2018.

Before playing basketball, Sharif focused on skateboarding. After his poor performance in amateur sports league games, his interest in basketball has grown day by day. He started training regularly and more intensely when he was a teenager. Sharif started his basketball career at Windward School in Los Angeles. He trains under the guidance of coach Steve Smith. His performance in the forward position has attracted the attention of publications such as The Washington Post. He averaged 3.7 points and 2.9 rebounds at the end of the season. In 2015, Sharif won a scholarship to play for the Troy team at the University of Southern California. This is the first time he has received such an invitation from an NCAA Level 1 project. Institutions such as LSU, Baylor, Kansas State University and UCLA also provided similar quotations. However, Sharif chose to stay in Winward in his sophomore year. He can improve his ball possession, defensive skills and shooting percentage. It didn’t take long for MaxPreps scouts to notice.

Shareef transferred to Crossroads School (Santa Monica) in mid-2016. He scored 15 points in a victory over Brentwood School in January 2017. The following month, he scored 20 points in a loss to Mater Dei High School. On April 9, 2017, Sharif announced his intention to play college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats. He was relieved of his post a year later due to the findings of the FBI after the investigation. According to reports, Arizona coach Sean Miller was arrested while discussing the signing of Deandre Ayton for $100,000.
