He went on to play college basketball for Michigan State. During his time at Michigan, he made the Big Ten defensive team and was named to the Big Ten defensive team for the second team. The Cleveland Cavaliers drafted him in 2006, and he played 23 games in his first season. He then spent some time playing for G League teams Albuquerque Thunderbirds and Rio Grande Valley Vipers before returning to the Cavaliers. In 2008, he was traded to the Chicago Bulls.
