Shaun White is an American professional snowboarder/skateboarder and three-time Olympic gold medalist. Nicknamed “Flying Tomato”, he won multiple gold medals in X Games in winter and summer. He is good at half pipe, super pipe and slope projects. Shaun Roger White was born on September 3, 1986 in San Diego, California. His parents are Cathy and Roger. He has two siblings, Kari and Jesse. White suffers from a congenital heart defect and had two open-heart surgeries when he was a toddler. He attended Torrey Pines High School, followed by California State University San Marcos.

White was attracted to skateboarding/snowboarding at a very young age. His early rise attracted Tony Hawk’s attention, and Tony Hawk became friends and served as a mentor. He turned professional at the age of 13, and won his first U.S. Open at the age of 16. His skateboarding honors include extreme sports tour championships. He won 2 golds, 2 silvers and 1 bronze at the Summer X Games in Los Angeles, California. White made his first Winter Extreme Games in Aspen, Colorado in 2002. He won silver medals in both super tube and ramp competitions. Since then, he has won 13 gold medals in the Winter X Games. He got a perfect score of 100 points in the 2012 Winter X game. White holds the record for the most gold medals in X games. He was also the first athlete to qualify for the summer and winter competitions and win medals.

White made his Olympic debut at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. He won the gold medal in the half-pipe competition. He won the second and third Olympic gold medals in 2010 (Vancouver, Canada) and 2018 (Pyeongchang, South Korea). He is currently the record holder for the most Olympic gold medals won by snowboarders. White has won 10 ESPY awards for his athletic achievements. He was ranked 9th in the world by Skier Magazine in 2009. He was selected for the first issue of Forbes “30 under 30” in 2016.

In 2017, White switched his talent agency from Creative Artists Agency to United Talent Agency. His memoir “F*** It: I’m Here to Win” was published in 2018 and co-authored by Neil Strauss. White starred in the movie Cloud 9 (2014) with Dove Cameron, and Friends with Benefits (2011) with Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. He is a member of the electronic rock band Bad Things.
