What is Sean Michaels’ net worth?
Shawn Michaels is a former American professional wrestler who has a net worth of $10 million. Michaels is best known for his 30-year wrestling career, during which he primarily worked with WWE (officially known as WWF). Fans know him by various nicknames, such as “Heartbroken Kid”, “The Showstopper” and “Mr. Wrestlemania”. Unfortunately, Sean has battled quite a few injuries throughout his career, including a back injury that led to his retirement in 1998. He later returned to wrestling until his permanent retirement in 2010. However, Michaels was wrestling one last time. 2018, before leaving the ring entirely. After his second retirement, Sean served as a coach.
Michaels is the headliner at various WWE events, helping the organization generate significant revenue through pay-per-view events. Michael Shawn Hickenbottom was born on July 22, 1965 in Chandler, Arizona. Growing up in a Catholic family with four older siblings and a “military kid”, Michael spent time growing up in Reading, England. Then his military family moved to San Antonio, where he spent another childhood. At some point, Michael started to dislike his name and asked his family to call him “Shaun”. Sean then spent considerable time in various parts of the United States due to his father’s military career.
At the age of 12, Hickenbarton decided to become a professional wrestler. He ended up performing a wrestling match during his high school talent show. Sean was also an avid athlete during this time, playing football from the age of six. Eventually, he served as linebacker and captained the high school team.
After high school, Sean attended Southwestern Texas State University. However, his disillusionment with college life was soon disillusioned and he dropped out to pursue a career as a professional wrestler.
Profession
Hickenbottom began his career with the National Wrestling League in 1984 after training with Mexican wrestler Jose Lothario. He then spent a few years with Texas All-Star Wrestling and USA Wrestling before making his WWF debut in 1987. That was when Sean teamed up with Marty Jannetty to form Midnight Rock. Unfortunately, Midnight Rock was fired by the WWF for a “pub incident” that led to their return to the AWA.

However, they eventually returned to WWF in 1988. By 1992, Sean had established himself as a uniquely sad kid. By 1995, he was a fan favorite and associated with The Kliq. In 1996, he won his first WWF title. Unfortunately, a knee injury quickly relinquished the title. By 1998, his injuries were so severe that he had to retire. However, it turned out to be more of a hiatus, as he returned in 2002 to have a feud with Triple H.
He was reunited with D-Generation X from 2005 to 2007. Over the next few years, he became involved in various feuds while winning more championships. His second retirement was in 2010 and it ended with a number of highly anticipated finals.
Unfortunately, his decision to return to the ring after eight years of retirement has been widely criticized by wrestling fans. He returned to Crown Jewel in 2018 with what many consider to be the worst race of the year. Others called it a “total disaster.”
Even before his retirement, fans generally considered Michaels to be one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. He has been particularly commended for a number of games, including against Steve Austin, Rick Friar, Brett Hart and many others. In particular, his rivalry with Brett Hart has been hailed as one of the greatest rivalries in wrestling history.

By the mid-80s, Sean was battling a serious substance abuse problem. His closest friends couldn’t help him avoid this vicious cycle, so he ended up cutting ties with many of them. At one point in the late ’80s, Hickenbarton even contemplated suicide. This pattern continued until the late 1990s, when Sean realized that psychological intervention was necessary. Hickenbottom’s own wife suggested he was dealing with feelings of self-loathing and self-destruction.
Ultimately, a variety of factors helped Sean resolve his substance abuse problem. First, he realized the downside of not wanting to be a son. Second, he found support in the Christian faith.

Sean first married a woman named Teresa Wood, though the two soon decided to divorce. Their separation was amicable. In 1999, he married Whisper, a former WCW Nitro Girl. Their wedding was in Las Vegas, and the only people in attendance were Elvis impersonators. In 2000, the couple welcomed their first child. Four years later, they had their second child.
