Ryan Gosling is a Canadian film actor, director and musician. He is known for films such as “The Notebook” (2004), “Crazy Stupid Love” (2011), “The Big Short” (2015) and “La La Land” (2016). Gosling was born on November 12, 1980 in London, Canada. His father, Thomas, was a newspaper salesman, and his mother, Donna, was a secretary turned teacher. He has an older sister named Mandy. Gosling attended Cornwall University and Vocational School in Cornwall, Ontario. He also studied at Lester B. Pearson High School in Burlington, Massachusetts.

Gosling auditioned for Disney Channel’s Mickey Mouse Club in 1993 and joined the cast. He starred in three episodes before the show was canceled in 1995. Gosling and his friend Zach Shields are members of the rock duo “Dead Man’s Bones”. Their self-titled debut album was released by ANTI-Records in 2009 under the stage name “Baby Goose”. Gosling and Emma Stone performed the single “City of Stars” from La La Land (2016). Other songs include “You Always Hurt the Ones You Love” and “A Lovely Night”.
