Ryan Diem was born in Roselle, Illinois in 1979 and played college football for the Northern Illinois Huskies. The 6-foot-6, 320-pound offensive tackle went on to join the Indianapolis Colts after he was selected with the 118th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2001 NFL Draft.
At some point in his college career, he was considered a potential first-round pick, but ultimately fell to the fourth round. He played for the Colts for the next decade before retiring in March 2012. Diem consolidated the team’s attacking line on the way to two AFC Champions League victories in 2006 and 2009.
