Ryan Anderson is an NBA player currently under contract with the New Orleans Pelicans. He’s a 6-foot-10 power forward and an excellent three-point shooter. He was born on May 6, 1988 in Sacramento, California. He attended Oak Ridge High School, where he led the Oak Ridge Trojans to the Division II state championship game. He attended the University of California in 2006 and played for the Golden Bears for two seasons. He averaged 18.7 points and 9 rebounds in his college career.

Anderson was selected by the New Jersey Nets with the 21st overall pick in the 2008 NBA draft. He played his first rookie game in October 2008.
