The Isley Brothers was established in 1954 by Rudolph, Ronald Isley and O’Kelly Isley, Jr. The group also included brother Vernon until his death. Their debut album Scream! Released on RCA Victor Records in 1969. Their first albums include Live It Up, The Heat Is On, Harvest for the World, Go for Your Guns, Showdown, Between the Sheets, Eternal, Body Kiss and Baby Makin’ Music. Some of their most popular songs include “Shout (Part 1)”, “My Old Heart (It’s Weak for You)”, “It’s Your Business”, “The One Who Loves You”, “The One Ladies (Part 1)” and “Summer Breeze.” The song “Shout” sold over a million copies. They had four top 10 singles on the US Billboard charts. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 and the Hollywood Rockwalk in 1997. In 2003, the Eisley brothers were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. Rudolph left music in 1989 to become a minister. He married Elaine Jasper in 1958.
