Sierra played for the Oakland Athletics from 1992 to 1995, the New York Yankees from 1995 to 1996, the Detroit Tigers in 1996, the Cincinnati Reds in 1997, and the Toronto Blue Jays in 1997 , 1998 for the Chicago White Sox, 2000-2001 for the Texas Rangers, 2002 for the Seattle Mariners, 2003 for the Texas Rangers, 2003-2005 for the New York Yankees, and finally 2006 of the Minnesota Twins. He last played for the Twins on July 9, 2006. Sierra finished his career with a .268 batting average, along with more than 300 home runs and 1,322 at-bats.
