Ronny Mack is an American guitarist, singer and songwriter. He is a versatile musician with success in rock, blues and country music. Mike was born on July 18, 1941 in Dearborn County, Indiana, his original name was Lonnie McIntosh. He grew up on a farm with no electricity near the Ohio River. Mack became interested in R&B and gospel music after listening to their battery-powered radio. His early musical influences include Mel Travis, Ray Charles, Bobby Brand and George Jones.

Mack started playing acoustic guitar at the age of seven. He dropped out of high school when he was a teenager and started playing professional games. He is famous for using fake IDs to perform in various clubs and inns. Mack purchased the “Gibson Flying V” electric guitar in 1958. He nicknamed this guitar “No. 7” and has used it throughout his music career.

Mack’s first album The Wham of that Memphis Man was released by Brotherhood Records in 1964. It features the musical instrument “Wham!” And “Memphis.” Mack signed with Elektra Records in 1968. The albums “Glad I’m in the Band” and “Whatever’s Right” were released in 1969, followed by “The Hills of Indiana” in 1971. A few years later, Mack reappeared in 1983. He followed up with his 1985 album, Strike Like Lightning. His last album, Attack of the Killer V, was released in 1990. Mack was inducted into the International Guitar Hall of Fame and the Southern Indiana Musicians Association Hall of Fame in 2001. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.

Ronny Mack passed away on April 21, 2016, at the age of 74. According to reports, he died of natural causes at the Centennial Medical Center near his home in Tennessee. He has five children and several grandchildren.
