Ron Pratte made his fortune as the founder and former CEO of Pratte Development Company, Inc., one of the largest wood framing and concrete foundation companies in the United States. He is known for his well-collected cars. Pratte Development Co. is located in Phoenix, Arizona. They are a private company that manufactures structural wood products. Pratte sold the development company to Pulte Residential at the height of the Arizona real estate boom. Because of the good timing of the deal, Platt was able to cash out before the housing market crashed. The Arizona multimillionaire is a car junkie. In 2008, he bought his large collection of fancy cars, a Shelby GT500, for nearly $650,000, and last year, a Futurliner bus for $4.1 million.
