Roman Avdeev Net Worth: Roman Avdeev is a Russian businessman with a net worth of $1.6 billion. Roman Avdeev is the owner of Moscow Credit Bank, which is now the 16th largest bank in Russia by assets. Born on July 17, 1967 in Odintsovo, Moscow, he started his career shortly after graduating from the Moscow International University of Business and Information Technology.
At first, he produced decoders, and later he had the opportunity to acquire a bank with 14 employees. As the time came, he laid the foundation of the agricultural business with the bank. By 2006, he had managed to create a large agricultural holding company called Chernozemie, which included agricultural land and sugar mills. Not seeing enough growth prospects for the business to capitalize, he sold his stake at a premium. In 2000, Avdeev went on to acquire retail network Capital, which he sold three years later for a higher price. In 2008, he became Chairman of the Moscow Credit Bank. In 2012, the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development bought a 15 percent stake in the bank for $190 million. The move successfully quelled the financial crisis of the past four years, allowing the bank’s assets to more than quadruple to $9 billion. In 2013, he reportedly bought a controlling stake in drugmaker Veropharm from debt-laden Russian pharmacy chain Pharmacy Chain 36.6, in which he already holds an 18 percent stake. Married man Roman Avdeev has 23 children, 19 of which are adopted. He is also a yoga enthusiast.
